A discussion on the many attractions of El Nido cannot be complete without touching on El Nido Resorts, the resort complex operated by Ten Knots Development Corporation. The corporation is the largest private sector employer in El Nido and is instrumental in having this municipality declared a protected area. Currently, El Nido Resorts occupy three of the municipality’s major islands, namely: Miniloc, Lagen and Pangalusian. They have been globally recognized for its green practices and commitment to sustainable tourism.

The Lagen Island Resort

The Pangalusian Island Resort

The resort in Pangalusian opened very recently and is set in the 750-meter stretch of white sand along this island’s shores which have come to be known as the “Island of the Sun” due largely to the amazing views of the sunrise and sunsets the place affords to visitors. It is set against the backdrop of the lush green forest behind the resort. The diverse flora and fauna that resides in these forests can be enjoyed by trekking through the trail that cuts through the forest cover. Snorkeling at the house reef provides opportunities to observe hundreds of sea creatures within the island’s waters. Accommodations are provided at the resort through 42 villas of Filipino architecture.
